Hello!

I’m Betsy Kornelis and I have been helping local and virtual clients update their homes and businesses, in some capacity or another, for over 15 years. Making spaces look good and function well has been a passion of mine since I was a kid, and I ended up with a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from Beloit College. I got my start as a design consultant in the retail sector, began blogging about design simultaneously and eventually set out to work for myself as an interior designer.

I offer all kinds of design services, from picking paint colors, light fixtures, accessories and furnishings, to creating floor plans for full on kitchen or bathroom renovations. In addition to in-home consulting, I also offer E Design services and can create a shoppable mood board and actionable design plan for clients from a distance. I also write a monthly design column for the Kitsap Sun, which I have been doing since 2015. In 2022, I was voted into the top 3 Interior Design companies for the Kitsap Sun’s Best of the Best. 

I’m also wife to Chris and mom to Thomas and Lucy, plus a Siamese Tabby cat named June. We recently tackled a gut remodel of our current home- a 1936 brick Tudor in Bremerton, WA. It has been a serious labor of love, and we are still crafting its rooms into the house of our dreams. I love hanging with family and friends, cooking new recipes, thrifting at Kitsap's many vintage shops and enjoy a good murder mystery on screen or in writing.
