Prepping for the BI Rotary Sale

I scored this slab of Carrara Marble that now tops my desk, for $20, and the lamp, for $5, at the Bainbridge Island Rotary Auction & Rummage Sale.

There is nothing quite like the feeling of driving home with a pickup truck full of furniture and lamps, all of which you paid less than $100 total for. Sounds impossible, right? Wrong. It can happen for you too, if you go to the Bainbridge Island Rotary Auction & Rummage Sale.

If you have never attended this epic day-long event, you must work it into your schedule this summer. My June feature for the Kitsap Sun lists all of ins and outs to get the most out of this rummage sale to end all rummage sales. I’ve been attending for the last 13 years, so I’ve rounded up some pretty solid tips. This year it is on Saturday June 30, from 8 a.m.  to 2p.m. Find all of the details to fully prepare yourself on their website: bainbridgerotaryauction.org
