Adding Warmth

28 Sep

My freshly painted living room is fantastic, but has a decidedly beachy summer vibe at the moment. I’d like to bring in some rich oranges and deep brown for the season.

My living room is serene, cozy and textural, but it needs a dose of warm fall color to really help me settle into the season. I can’t think of an easier, quicker way to accomplish this, than by adding a few new pillows to the mix. If I have the time, I might just sew up some simple covers, otherwise I’ll just buy a couple. Here are some possibilities.

Pillows are from World Market and West Elm. Fabric found on Fabric.com.

I love the chevron – you must do a chevron pillow! I also totally love the West Elm – looks like it is made with old neckties – so cool – and the World Market options with the little tassle balls on the corners – a beautiful middle eastern touch would be nice to give your living room a bit more of a worldly feel. 🙂
