My Living Room’s Fresh Face

5 Sep

So happy to be done painting the living room and perking it up! It feels totally refreshed, a lot less matronly and more like my style! I painted the walls Glidden’s Soft Meadow, which is just about as close to the most perfect grey-blue-green I have ever seen. It really pulled all of the room’s elements together.  I united the room’s lamps and accent pieces with earthy textures in warm tones. I painted my round mirror with liquid gold leaf to pop it off the wall color. Here are some photos of the room’s changes.

There’s not much left to complete: simple curtains, reupholstering the green side chair, and making some fall-ish pillow covers to fit in with my favorite upcoming season. I love the way the room feels, I’m so happy walking into my house now!

Wow! What a transformation! It looks great! The lighter color makes such a difference. I’m almost done with my bathroom; I’ll have pictures soon!

Yes, I just picked up Glidden’s Soft Meadow color card today and it IS the perfect grey-blue green shade! And not too sage-y either. Love the after!

It’s been a whirl since I painted those walls, and I’m still loving the color:)
