Dining Room: Not Done Yet!

Well, the dining room is not done yet, but I actually started painting.  I just wanted to give you a little glimpse at how the gray paint has already transformed the space. The gray is a bit cooler and darker than I was aiming for, but I think once I get the second coat on, and hang the art work, it will feel a bit cozier. I do really like it though! I’ve also snapped shots of a lamp that will be moved into the space, some of the art, and a few swatches I am considering for a dining bench cushion.

  1. Lovely! What shade of gray are you using? We’re about to paint our dining room gray, too. I’m liking Farrow & Ball’s Cornforth White, or else Lamp Room Gray (if I’m feeling brave). Also, I vote for the multi-color zig-zag fabric 🙂

    1. Thanks for your input on the fabric! I am leaning towards that one as well. The gray I used is Bedford Gray from Martha Stewart’s collection at Home Depot. In retrospect, I might have gone with something a bit lighter and warmer, but overall, I think this hue is offering the change I was after! Good luck with yours!
