To Decorate with Reckless Abandon

I wish I had the confidence and cache’ to decorate my home with reckless abandon, the way my favorite singer-songwriter,  Neko Case did in her Vermont farm house. I admire how she infused her home with equal parts genuine personality and bold, artistic design statements. Here, images from her home, as seen in March’s issue of Country Living.

Although I am admittedly jealous of Ms. Case’s heartfelt and whimsical decorating sense, I am inspired to trust my own design instincts more thoughtfully. It’s true that I tend to favor a traditional use of symmetry, pattern and color in my own home, but there has always been a little rebel inside that wants to express herself! I wonder how this side will manifest itself in my next project!
