Farm Chicks Antique Show

I can’t wait to make my way to Spokane next weekend for the annual Farm Chicks Antique Show.  June 4-5, 200 vendors will take over the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center to showcase their goods. I’ve never been, but I’ve read about it enough to expect great things! I’ve got a long list of items I’ll be on the prowl for:

  • vintage alarm clocks
  • vintage maps and globes
  • chunks of patina-heavy mirror
  • wood picture frames
  • lamp shades and bases
  • dining chairs
  • small footstools

That’s definitely not the end of the haunting list that’s always running through my mind when I’m treasure hunting. And there are always pleasant and unexpected thrills to uncover as well.

This is why I know it will be good:

1. Founder Serena Thompson is a contributing editor at Country Living magazine.

2. The Farm Chicks, have a great cook book, The Farm Chicks in the Kitchen, and Serena published a Christmas idea book, The Farm Chicks Christmas.

I won’t forget to bring my tape measure, a bottle of water and a few trusty shopping bags for my loot! I look forward to sharing my photos with you after the show!

  1. Betsy!!
I wanted to give you a heads up about another cool spot to take a look at. The Hurd Mercantile in Rockford, WA is a treasure trove of handmade items, repurposed finds and vintage stuff! Check them out on fb or just google them.
Can’t wait to see the Seattle branch of the Kornelis clan!! yeeee
    Love ya!
