Office Organization

My metal desk from Useful Vintage Goods.

I’m just getting things set up at my rusty, old desk from Useful Vintage Goods, and I am coveting these organizational accessories. I think they all as pretty as they are practical. Both are important qualities, since my home office is part of my living room.

I seem to be addicted to this fresh aqua and green theme this spring!

Who wouldn't want to work at a desk equipped with all of this great stuff!

Desk Lamp: Forsa from IKEA.  A little sparkle goes a long way.  This is a nice foil to the desk’s rusty patina.

Pencil cup: Clean and modern, yet warm this cup from Heath Ceramics adds an edge. Modern Cup Large in Linen.

File Sorter and Folders: A great way to simplify bills, invites and papers that require action: a folder for each day of the week.  This system worked for me while I worked as a registrar, so why not bring that idea home! Organizer and Thomas Paul file folders from See Jane Work.

Chair: Whimsical in light blue, this chair’s style and material compliment the desk. Garden Side Chair at Home Decorators.

Media board: The sliding chalkboard adds a little contrast and the pinboard is just plain practical. Rustic Wall Organizer from Pottery Barn.

Drawer Organizers: This acrylic set looks great, even full of junk. Container Store.

  1. I want to redo my office now in these clean crisp colors – makes me think of spring . . . 🙂 blue skies and grassy knolls!

  2. I love the blue chair, too… Saw it some time ago in a british online shop that didn’t ship to Germany. Unfortunately I never stumbled upon it here. Would love to have some for my kitchen.

    1. Hope you are able to find some in Germany! I know that Landpartie Munchen in Munich has some antique versions of the same chair! Look at!
